State Officer Information

Why become a state officer?

SkillsUSA South Carolina state officers take on important leadership roles, mentor and guide student members and chapters across the state, set examples of professionalism through their actions, plan conferences, and represent our great state at multiple state and national level conferences.

2024 will see the introduction of our first-ever Post-Secondary State Officers!

Those with a growth mentality and a desire to become one of America's future leaders should apply and see where your path leads!

General Requirements

  • Must have at least one full year remaining and be active in a recognized CTE Career Cluster.

  • Must be available to represent the state through personal appearances during the tenure of office.

  • Must attend required SkillsUSA South Carolina and NLSC State Officer Training/Workshops (both in June).

  • Must attend additional training (virtual and in-person) that may be required (i.e. Conference Pre-Work).

  • Additional requirements are listed in the application.

  • Washington Leadership Training Institute (September 2024 - Washington D.C.)

  • SC Fall Leadership Conference (Fall 2024)

  • State Leadership & Skills Conference in year of tenure ending (March 2025)
