Competition Requirements & Updates

Resume Requirement
  • ALL competitors are required to provide a resume. The only exceptions are Pin Design and T-Shirt Design contestants, as their competitions are complete. All resumes are to be no longer than one (1) page in length and should be turned in prior to 11:59 pm on May 7, 2021. Failure to do so may result in a 10-point deduction. If your specific competition also requires a hard copy or digital copy presented at an orientation, interview, or judging, that will be noted in the updates below. Resumes will be submitted digitally, instructions can be found under the Resume Submission tab.

Testing
  • If your competition has a written test and your competition is Virtual/Localized Hands-on, the competitor and/or their advisor will be provided details for completion.
  • If your competition has a written test and your competition is In-Person, the test will be provided at the in-person location on the date of competition, unless otherwise noted in the updates below.

Technical Standards & Clothing Requirements
  • All clothing requirements are written into the technical standards.
  • All technical standards can be located by advisors after logging into your account through the SkillsUSA Registration website at https://www.skillsusa.org/membership-resources/join/. State technical standards will follow national standards unless otherwise noted in the updates below.

  • This year's SkillsUSA Theme can be located HERE and is needed for specific competitions.
Proctors, Judges, & COVID-19 Protocols

  • All advisors with competitors MUST be registered for the SLSC.
  • Advisors should be present for Virtual/Localized Hands-on competitions for safety reasons unless told otherwise by the Technical Chair, Judge, or SkillsUSA SC.
